Hair while sighting is simple in structure, but has some crucial functions in social functioning. Hair is made of a filamentous biomaterial consisting mainly of a tough protein called keratin. A hair follicle anchors each hair into the skin. The hair bulb forms the base of the hair follicle. Living cells divide and grow to build the hair shaft in the hair bulb. Blood vessels nourish the cells in the hair bulb, and deliver hormones that modify hair growth and structure at different times of life. Hair is mainly associated with feminine beauty and male virility. It also helps communicates our social status. And nowadays one of the major problems of every people is hair fall. According to a 2014 survey by the international society of Hair Restoration Surgery, approximately 35 million men in the United States suffer some type of hair loss, and approximately 21 million women are affected by hair loss. Now the great question is how to reduce hair fall. Here I am mentioning some tips to reduce hair fall.

1 Maintenance of diets:

The first and foremost thing that should be included is to give some check on our diet itself which more or less helps to reduce hair fall. A healthy diet is the secret to thick, shiny, and strong hair. The food for healthy hair includes spinach, carrots, eggs, yogurt, chicken, and many more. Iron deficiency is one of the main causes of hair fall. Spinach is not only a great source of iron but also vitamins A, C, and protein. It also contains sebum which acts as a natural conditioner for hair and provides us with omega-3 acid, magnesium, potassium, and calcium. These help in maintaining a healthy scalp and lustrous hair. Carrot is known to be good for the eyes, carrots contain Vitamin A which also improves hair growth. The deficiency of vitamin A may lead to a dry and itchy scalp Carrots are also known to add to the thickness of hair, make hair lustrous, and improve blood circulation. As we know hair is composed of 68% keratin protein, and eggs help rebuild damaged hair. They are also rich in a B vitamin called biotin that helps hair grow. Yoghurt is packed with Vitamin B5 and Vitamin D which are known to promote hair follicle health. This is why you should always choose healthy food over junk one to reduce your hair fall.

2 Exercises and Yoga

There is an ancient belief that Yoga helps stimulate blood circulation in the head and scalp, which helps in rejuvenating dry and limp hair. This in turn reduces hair fall and helps in hair growth. It also protects against hair loss by encouraging blood flow to the head. Also nowadays yoga is gaining some popularity around the world due to the wonderful results it seems to achieve. There are some yoga asanas that not only promote hair growth but also help in reducing hair fall and improving health. They are Kapalabhati, Ando Mukha Svanasana, Sarvangasana,Balasana and many more. Like Yoga, exercise paired with balanced nutrition keeps your body healthy, and your hair is a reflection of your health. According to LiveStrong, regular exercise may prevent some forms of hair loss, because it improves blood flow to the scalp. Excessive exercise and a lack of nutrition, however, can lead to premature hair loss. Over a long period, too much exercise can cause your body to enter a chronic state of stress, which in turn leads to a condition called telogen effluvium. TE causes your hair follicles to go dormant when they would otherwise continue to grow. The resumption of a balanced diet and appropriate levels of exercise can reverse this process.

3 Choose shampoo wisely

As we know, human hair is made out of dead keratin cells produced by the follicle in the top layer of the scalp. It can be said thus that hair is made of protein - and the body needs to ingest protein for a scalp full of healthy hair. However, the shampoos and hair care products you choose to use can also impact the health of your scalp and hair, Choosing the right products not only helps to maintain great hair but also prevents further damage that may be happening due to using unsuitable products. Here are a few reasons why you should carefully pick a shampoo for your hair care routine. The first function of shampoos is to cleanse the oil and dirt away from the follicles on your scalp. By choosing the correct product according to your scalp type, problem, and hair type, you can stimulate hair growth to some extent. Today, many organic shampoos do not contain harsh chemicals or soaps, which helps maintain a healthy scalp. The right shampoo gives you the best results. Choosing your shampoo based on scalp needs is the best way to maintain easily manageable tresses. The right shampoo promotes scalp health. Since the ingredients in the shampoo would be just right (for example, tea-tree oil or ketoconazole shampoo for dandruff-prone hair) for your hair concerns, your scalp will always feel fresh and stimulated. This helps boost follicle health. The right shampoo reduces hair fall from haircare products. Being able to clean the residue from the hair and scalp without stripping off the essential skin oils helps the skin to keep hair damage to a minimum. It also helps to bring out the natural shine of your hair. The first thing to consider while selecting shampoos is hair type. Dry hair tends to be brittle and break easily, which is why a gentler shampoo with moisturizing ingredients should be the primary choice. If a stronger shampoo is selected, it may make your hair frizzier and difficult to comb through. Oily hair results from a scalp that secretes too much sebum. An oil-fighting shampoo that gently clears the sebum away and unclogs the follicles is the best choice in this case. Washing your hair more frequently with such a shampoo will give the best results. Neutral hair lies somewhere between dry and oily hair. Gentle shampoos that do not irritate the follicles work best in this case.

Essential oils such as lavender, peppermint, rosemary, cedarwood, lemongrass, thyme, clary sage, tea tree, ylang-ylang, and horsetail plant oil have already been proven in various ways to improve hair growth and reduce hair fall. Lack of nutrients and water in the body shows through intense hair fall and hair damage.
